Coupons - How Frugal Moms Use Them
Hi Everyone,
I am at heart a frugal person. That is part of the reason I started a coupon website at Shoppingtosave.com. I love to read about interesting ways that people save money.
Here are some articles from tightwad stay-at-home moms who regularly save money with coupons.

Clip coupons and use them; it is a great way to try new things and watch the weekly sales ads, a lot of times I get items completely free. (Or use online coupons)

I shop the ads, use Value Page and coupons to cut my grocery bill in half. The other day Beechnut baby food worked out to be 12 jars for a dollar. Flex Shampoo is often free if you save their 1.00 off coupon until it goes on sale for $1.99. Sure it takes time... and some sorting skills, but if I save 60 bucks a week... spend say, 3 hours on it 20 bucks an hour

For anyone who uses manufactures coupons: Check with your grocery store to see if they accept expired coupons. Yes, expired coupons! Our grocery store here in Wisconsin called "Cub Foods" takes them - they have to be within 6 months prior to actual expiration date. There are also Cub Foods stores in Minnesota (I used to live there). So, if there is a Cub Food store in your city you should be able to use them. For other grocery stores your best bet is to ask.

Save big bucks every year by making your own dryer sheets. Pour liquid fabric softener into a clean spray bottle, and spray 4-6 times onto a designated rag. Put into your dryer with clothes and tumble as usual. Wash the rag every once in a while to remove build-up. A small refill carton of concentrated softener lasts about 1 1\2 years. (I do this trick all the time.)
