This Saturday was my grandson's 2nd birthday. My daughter threw him a fun and exciting party. The decorating theme was "Clifford, the Big Red Dog".
We had the casual fare of hamburgers and hot dogs to squelch our hunger. Made small talk with each other and sang "Happy Birthday" to the birthday boy. This was the highlight of the party.
My grandson didn't understand why everyone was looking at him and singing. The oddest expressions came from his cute boyish face as he gazed at everyone around him. Why oh why did I forget my video camera? I didn't even remember the digital camera because I was in a hurry to pick-up the birthday cake.
All ended well as he opened his presents and went swimming with his friends and cousins.
