I know that it has been a really long time since my last post, but sometimes when I am blogging I actually feel like I am wasting time. I sincerely try not to feel that way but...hey I can't help it.
Today is my husband's and my 14th wedding anniversary and I kinda forgot about it. I mean I remembered but I thought that we weren't exchanging gifts or cards. I thought that our gift to each other was going to be our trip to Alaska to go King Salmon and Halibut fishing. My husband did remember to buy cards and they were very cute and funny. Some years he buys cute and funny cards and sometimes he buys sentimental and mushy cards.
We also had to take our 10 year old German Shepherd to the Vet's today. About a month ago my husband and I were discussing how we were so proud of ourselves. We had taken very good care and fed him with expensive dog food and good vitamins. We got him to the age of ten and he didn't seem to have any of the predictable hip problems.
That proud moment didn't last very long. The last 3 to 4 weeks he started walking slower and a little stiff. This has graduated to barely able to get up and down or climb the stairs. This seems to have happened overnight. Our Vet seems to think he has hip dysplasia and we now have him on Rimadyl. We will watch him for a couple of weeks to see if this helps him.
